By December 31, 2002, Representative Gary A. Condit (California 18th CD) is formally charged in a state or federal criminal prosecution for wrongdoing in connection with the disappearance of Chandra Levy. This would include, without limitation, obstruction of justice or similar wrongdoing related to the investigation of Chandra Levy's disappearance.
