The Claim

One or more electors in the Electoral College for the 2000 U.S. Presidential election will "defect" to abstain or to vote for someone other than the candidate they were pledged or appointed to elect.

If the Electoral College vote is not accepted by Congress before 2001/01/20, the claim will be judged YES. If the Electoral College vote accepted by the Senate is executed by fewer than (or more than) 538 electors, the claim will be judged YES. If the results are not made public by Congress before 2001/01/20, the claim will be judged YES. The claim may be closed immediately after the Electoral College vote is formally accepted by Congress.
