The Claim

This scaled claim will pay according to the number of internet hosts published by Network Wizards for July 1999 in the Internet Domain Survey.

For an internet host number less than or equal to 35 million use this formula:
Claim value = ((host number in millions) - 30) * 0.1 .
The resulting number is rounded.
Example: 33.55 million hosts are reported. Then the claim value is
(33.55 - 30) * 0.1 = 0.36 (rounded from 0.355)

For an internet host number greater than 35 million use this formula:
Claim value = 0.5 + ((host number in millions) - 35) * 0.02 .
The resulting number is rounded.
Example: 51.4 million hosts are reported. Then the claim value is
0.5 + (51.4 - 35) * 0.02 = 0.83 (rounded from 0.828)

If there are 60 million hosts or more, this claim will pay 1.00.
If there are 30 million hosts or less, this claim will pay 0.00.
