The Claim

This claim will be judged YES if the following conditions are met:

• China launches its first manned space mission before Jan 2, 2000 (Peking time).
• The rocket reaches a height > 150 km.
• At least one crew member lives when the maximum height is reached.

The maximum height has to be > 150 km. It is defined here as either the perigee of the Earth orbit reached or, in the case of a ballistic trajectory, its apogee.

These conditions met, the claim will still pay FX$ 1.00 if, after reaching maximum height,

• A part of the crew (but not the whole crew) dies,
• no full orbit is completed,
• the craft is destroyed, vanishes, or
• the communication to the craft is lost.

The claim will be judged NO, if the whole crew dies at a height > 150 km, but before maximum height of the craft is reached.
